The gates of hell have been opened and the creatures of the old inhabitants were ready to fall asleep out to rule the earth. The destruction was no longer inevitable.
The only hope for salvation of the earth is Hellboy. Hellboy is actually the residents 'other side' is stranded on Earth and eventually became part of the BPRD (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense). The Bureau is in secret U.S. defense sector into one of the paranormal. But with the attacks, the FBI was forced to admit the existence of BPRD.
The film made by director Guillermo del Toro who take the location shooting in various places in Europe was released Universal Pictures July yesterday.
Another movie made in the hope of a successful tailgate first film. When the first part is based on the original comic story of Hellboy, the second part is made out, it means no longer based on the original source, comics.
This film presents the colossal battle scene that is not much different with some of the latest action movie like The Incredible Hulk or Hancock. So if we want to talk about the action scenes may be nothing new from this film. So what makes it different from science fiction films are also made on the basis of other comics?
The answer probably is a metaphysical element in this film. Instead of using a road that smells of high-tech story, this film is even talking about the 'other world' which is actually considered not exist by most Western societies.
Another interesting thing about this movie is Guillermo del Toro's imagination is wild as if no limits. And again he was able to translate good a wild imagination into visual form that can be visible to others. Watching this movie as if we're listening to tales that are read by the director.
From the plots, probably not much that can be peeled, films of this genre have always carrying the storyline is predictable and tend to walk straight. Perhaps because this film was made to be consumed teens to adults. Making road convoluted story that will only damage the idea of the story itself.

But despite carrying the story that tends to plain, black and white, but Guillermo del Toro still insert an inner conflict. Hellboy is actually a creature of 'another world' but grew up among humans must face the mental battle between defending other creatures similar to himself or defend the man who has been the family. The conflict became more severe when he began to feel the love of one man.
Ron Perlman who plays Hellboy since the first part was indeed fit to bring this role. Starting from a cynical tone to which it wants its own behavior at some point make the audience think: actually, he is human or a creature of 'another world'?
Although including an action movie genre, but this film many incorporate elements of humor that looks natural and not contrived, especially the problem of the relationship between Hellboy and Liz Sherman, the woman he loved. Silliness is happening is the make this film feel fresh.
